You still need to wire the actual speakers into the wireless unit. The subwoofer is very good, especially the "whisper-bass" option of the sub; it really allows to enjoy the bass and low tones of a movie, without shaking all the house in the process.- Very attractive design: I guess is a matter of personnal opinion, but I think this unit is sleek, modern looking and just the perfect size. A big hassle in my case, due to my living layout.
Well, I have had this Panasonic home theater for about 6 months now and overall I am very happy with the device, especially in terms of connectivity and sound quality.I'm going to start with the cons first:- 5-DVD loading tray: although some people may find this feature useful (long movie marathon. You will need to get an actual audio reciever to get more inputs/outputs, if you need them.- "wireless" rear surround speakers: As many have already pointed out, the wireless unit for the rear speakers is only from the main unit. The speakers do not look bulky or heavy.- Finally, the fact that is 100% compatible with my Panasonic plasma Viera 42", through the handy viera-link, which pretty allows for using one remote only, and one button operation of both TV and home theater.Overall, highly recommended for those looking for an affordable, good quality home theater, with basic connectivity and functions.
It takes forever to load all the little, flimsy trays back in (be careful, they are really flimsy; I've read a few comments with complaints of broken trays) and you always have to remember (or guess) what was the number of the tray you just loaded your dvd into.- lack of inputs: I guess the sole purpose of a home theater is just that: providing enhanced sound for video applications. With this system, you just get one HDMI connector, digital audio input, standard A/V connectors (in/out), and that's pretty much it.
I would recommend this system to anyone who is not a hi-fi maniac, but still likes a good surround system. This item is definitively worth the money you pay for it. Although it's not top-of-the-line, the sound quality is good and the wireless speakers are very convenient.
From the rear speakers to the subwoofer and main speakers everything works better than expected.Panasonic has done a great job. We have been extremely pleased with our home theater system. The surround sound adds a completely new dimension to our movie experience.
The system arrived fast. It was easy to install, as an addition to my HD Panasonic Television. This Panasonic DVD home theater system is great. The sound is clear and beautiful.
and excellent for my apartment space as I don't want to blow my neighbors out of the window. Let's not talk about the DVD trays that are stacked instead of the usual carousal tray. It was only after I had this problem I went back to read more of the negative comments to discover others had the same exact problem I'm having (interesting). I contacted the seller and still haven't heard anything back to what I should do. I think they are being dishonest and it's going to come back and bite them. WOW.
Two days into receiving and setting up the equipment the DVD player displays a message "Chngr Err", take note I've only played one DVD to set the system up and to try it out. The sound is O.K. I don't know how to begin this review without saying how disappointed and ripped off I feel. I'm just saddened by the co$t of this product, yet it's so not the quality of product it should be. I'm probably just going to send this system back, get a refund and spend the extra money on the Bose system which I know is excellent quality. First I would like to let all potential buyers know that this is a good looking system on the picture and in person except in person the subwoofer is one unfinished side that doesn't allow you to turn it facing the room (super weird).
The seller claims the items are not re-furbished and are truly brand new.
